Our story

We started Mai in 2022 with a simple question: can we make it easier for quality to live on? Many people had pieces they wanted to resell, but not the time or energy to do it themselves. We began by building a selling service that made the process easier. In 2024 we took the next step and launched our own curated shop, bringing the best of second-hand together in one place. Today, more than 60,000 people in Sweden have sold or bought with Mai. We see that as an enormous vote of confidence – and we're still only just getting started.

Who we are

Mai was founded by Emma, Tobias and Daniel. Today we're a team with experience from marketplaces, startups and fashion who left our previous roles to build what we ourselves were missing – a second-hand market that's simple, safe and inspiring.

Good clothes deserve to be worn more than once. We're here to make sure that happens.
